Haiti of the 21st century!!!!

To bring possitive and progressive changes in Haiti, that national piece of document called "the constitution" must be re-written immidiately.

As far as that piece of doccument is concerned right now it's nothing but a "constipation" that is destroying Haiti.

1) The constitution rests ALL the power in the hand of the president which is a total mistake.

2) the constitution must honor dual citizenships.

3) the constitution must repeal the territorial redistriction from 10 departments to the original 5 departments.

4) thye constitution must call for department/state gorvernortorial and giving some otonomy to each governor to make distinct laws for their respective department.

Each governor will have the right under the constitution to have their police department, their own school system, their license plate and have their own market economic system, etc...Each department would have build/create their own infrustructure systems such as: highways, water, electricity, education, etc...

5) the constitution msut give authority to all member of the parliament and the senators to lobby and bring businesses to their respective department instead of just passing legislation and trash talking on the chamber's floors.

6) the constitution must call for all judges to get elected in order to have an independent justice system.

Right now, the president and the department of justice nominate and fire judges from left to right for no reason.

The president control the judicial system in Haiti which create so much corruption that there is no justice in Haiti.

7) there must not be a prime minister because it creates too much confusion and chaos to the Haitian people.

Haitians are not used to prime minister.

There is no need for a prime minister.

The government gets too big and too expensive.

8) the constitution must call for age and haitian citizenship as requirements to be president and prime minister, no more and no less. Home ownership and business ownership must not be required in order to be president and prime minister in Haiti.

9) the constitution must call that Haitian citizens must come first before any foreigners.

Haitian citizens must never be treated as second class citizens under any circumstances by the government let alone by foreigners.

10) there must be an impeachement article in the constitution wich would require that the president gets kicked/dragged out of office for violating the constitution.

Finally, the government needs to start a campaign of reconciliation to bring ALL Haitians on board to rebuild our country.

It would be helpful for Preval to opologize to All Haitians for all the pain and wrong doing done to the Haitian people and to the land as a gesture to start the healing process and eventually fix Haiti's problems.

Those are my suggestions to get Haiti out of the dark hole she is in.

What are yours?
